This new route, now Dublin Airport’s longest scheduled non-stop flight, is expected to enhance Ireland’s linkages with one of the globe’s foremost aviation hubs. China Eastern Airlines, headquartered in Shanghai and a member of the SkyTeam alliance, has an extensive network that spans Europe, Asia, Oceania, North America, South America, and the Middle East. The introduction of this route is seen by Dublin Airport officials as a major expansion of their long-haul network and a new avenue for passengers traveling between the two nations.
